Doug Poggioli

Founder & Lead Tutor

Doug is known for his ability to tailor each session to the unique learning style of the student. He doesn’t just teach formulas. He builds deep conceptual understanding and helps students gain the confidence to tackle even the most intimidating problems. Many of his students have gone on to top universities, crediting his teaching as a key part of their success.

What I love about teaching:

I love watching the moment a student realises they can do something they thought was out of reach. That quiet ‘click’ when understanding takes hold — it never gets old.

Jack Kelley

Math and Physics Tutor

Jack is a physics and math tutor with experience supporting high school and college students in algebra, calculus, and physics. He’s currently studying physics at the University of South Florida and enjoys helping students feel more confident with challenging material. Outside of tutoring, he’s into problem-solving and clear explanations that actually stick.

What I love about teaching:

I love teaching because it turns curiosity into something shared. Each question is a chance to see physics in a new light, and every breakthrough reminds me why I fell in love with the subject. Helping students move from confusion to clarity keeps me sharp and inspired.

Kathleen Kasper

Math Tutor

Kathleen has over 30 years of experience teaching math and still loves helping students feel confident and succeed. She specialises in AP Calculus AB & BC and equivalent college-level courses. Before teaching, she worked in finance in New York and Miami. She enjoys biking, cooking, and travelling.

What I love about teaching:

Imparting confidence in students by teaching them how to attack a complex math question is incredibly rewarding. In some small way, I can help them forge a new and different pathway in their lives.

What I love about teaching:

I love getting to know my students, figuring out their learning styles and personalities, and helping them find confidence in themselves.

Danielle St. Denis

Math Tutor

Danielle has nearly 20 years of experience tutoring and teaching maths in a variety of settings. She holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and a master’s degree in education, and brings a clear, supportive approach to helping students understand challenging material. She especially enjoys working with students over time, building their confidence as they develop a deeper understanding of core concepts. Her favourite areas to teach include statistics and calculus.

What I love about teaching:

I love seeing my students’ confidence grow, both when there is an ah-ha moment, and also the quieter breakthroughs when they finish something and say it wasn’t actually so bad.
